We went to the springs, after a lazy morning, to fill up our water jugs. We bought subway for lunch and ate along the river. We stopped at a new bar along the canals for a couple of beers. They had chess, so we played a couple of games. It was nice to get out of the sun for a bit.
We met up with Sonya and Rose to go painting. Our teacher surprised us with a painting of a plum blossom tree! Kate did some Chinese voodoo on us. She looked at our tongues and felt our wrists and proclaimed that Nate needed to drink less beer, and I need a good rest. She says I have too many dreams and my heart beats fast, which is strange because I have a runners heart that doesn’t pick up speed much for anything.
When we parted ways Nate kept saying “Zao shang hao” (good morning) by accident.
